Genealogy Trails MVP's

 March 2012
Our March MVP is Jim Dezotell.  While working on Minnesota recently, Jim Dezotell singlehandedly filled up Mille Lacs Co., with a boatload of articles and marriages 1890-1921 and also managed to send in quite a bit of data to our Lac Qui Parle, Sherburne and Isanti County sites.  Honorable mentions include Barb Ziegenmeyer for tons of birth, marriage & death indexes covering lots of years for lots of counties and
Veneta McKinney, who sent in many county histories and other assorted valuable and interesting county info and articles.  And a big shout-out to Sandy Davis who submitted items for counties that really needed help, including mortality schedules for just about every county.  Visit Minnesota Genealogy Trails and see what's new!

February 2012
Marla Zwakman
Host of Wisconsin; counties: Ashland, Clark, Marathon, Wood
Marla contributed data for just about every county both in Wyoming and Tennessee.... all while still managing to do updates for her own counties and state!  Awesome job!

January 2012
A HUGE THANK YOU to the wonderful ladies that helped with the Texas Updates:
Dale Donlon, Sandy Dennis, Nan Starjak, Amanda Jowers and Janice Rice.
Each one of these great ladies covered a section of Texas, and did a great job of getting the information online. They never complained about all the extra work; instead, they all asked for more!   THAT'S WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT... DATA, DATA and then MORE DATA!!!

September 2011
Peggy Thompson
Host of: Kansas state site; Counties: Sedgwick County, KS and co-host of Butler County, KS
Peggy just transcribed the 1907 Census of the Flathead Indian Reservation and the listing of individuals living in Montana during the winter of 1862-63.  In addition, she compiled all the WW2 Casualties for all of our Montana sites.

FWIW...

Some versions of Firefox will not load a number of linked GT items, and instead throw up the following:

"Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

* Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."

So you might try running this by your website admin. folks to find out why. Using IE8, the pages load with an error but still show up.

Older versions of Firefox and newer versions of IE are responsible for the error, not the webpages. Update your browser software if using Firefox. If using Internet Explorer, I don't know if they've bothered offering a solution or not.
