Just about finished putting all 5 volumes of these very large books online. This data included only Civil War Union soldiers receiving pensions, or their surviving spouses/dependents, as well as some War of 1812 soldiers/dependents who were on the government pension rolls as of Jan. 1, 1883. Many thanks to our Transcription Team members and our G.T. hosts for all of their VERY hard work getting these volumes online!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023161563705033767.post-28493626257618201452014-09-01T13:30:00.000-05:002014-09-01T13:30:10.341-05:00Working on Florida this month, highlighting

Our special focus on California is transcribing the Voters Lists from various years. Since California doesn't have a lot of state census available, these Voters Lists help to fill that gap. For instance, here's one from Los Angeles county: http://genealogytrails.com/cal/la/voters/1873pg1.html Enjoy!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023161563705033767.post-82575680611046736442012-10-10T23:05:00.002-05:002012-10-10T23:05:56.799-05:00<h5 class="uiStreamMessage userContentWrapper" data-ft="{"type":1,"tn":"K"}">

The transcribing part is almost done - we have just a few more W surname files to go, and then we start concentrating on proof-reading all those transcriptions! It's all about Civil War Headstones. We have over 80,000 soldier names online already and when finished, it'll be well over 100,000.
