List of Pensioners on the Rolls as of Jan. 1 1883 -
Just about finished putting all 5 volumes of these very large books online. This data included only Civil War Union soldiers receiving pensions, or their surviving spouses/dependents, as well as some War of 1812 soldiers/dependents who were on the government pension rolls as of Jan. 1, 1883. Many thanks to our Transcription Team members and our G.T. hosts for all of their VERY hard work getting these volumes online!

We have been adding a boatload of data to our New York sites. Check them out at http://genealogytrails.com/ny/
Progenealogists' annual list of Top
50 websites is out .... and we have scooted all the way up to #15! We
were just out of the top 25 last year, coming in at #26, so this is a big jump up.
I'm so proud of and thankful to all of our hosts through the years, because without the dedication and hard work of our hosts, there's no way we could have accomplished this. We're not a big group of anonymous people, we don't have a massive corporation financing us, we don't sell our site space for ads, we don't just present a billion links to other peoples' sites -- our data is right there for everybody to use for free. So thanks to Progenealogists for acknowledging our hard work and many thanks to our visitors who helped get us here!
